Perforated Labels

Perforated Label Rolls for Clean, Consistent Separation

Perforated labels separate cleanly from the roll without tearing, stretching or leaving ragged edges. The perforation between each label allows the printer to advance and cut precisely, producing individual labels ready for immediate application. Vision Supply’s perforated label collection includes every label in our range featuring inter-label perforations, spanning direct thermal, thermal transfer and pre-printed formats across all popular sizes.

Perforation matters most in automated and semi-automated labelling workflows where labels need to separate consistently at speed. Manual peel-and-apply operations also benefit from perforations, particularly when staff are applying labels rapidly during packing, shipping or shelf restocking.

Perforated Shipping and Address Labels

Our 100x150mm perforated shipping labels are the backbone of Australian eCommerce logistics. Perforations between each label ensure clean separation whether the label is dispensed automatically by the printer or torn manually from the roll. The perforation line sits precisely between labels with no overlap into the print area, preserving barcode integrity and text legibility right to the label edge.

Smaller perforated address and barcode labels in 100x100mm, 100x73mm, 102x73mm, 50x28mm and 40x28mm formats serve product identification, warehouse management, asset tracking and compliance labelling applications. Every perforated label in our range is compatible with Zebra, Brother, Sato, TSC, Honeywell and other major thermal printer brands.

Perforated vs Slit-Cut Labels

Not all label rolls are perforated. Slit-cut labels (also called die-cut or kiss-cut) are pre-cut through the label material but not the backing liner, requiring the user to peel each label from the continuous backing strip. Perforated labels are cut through both the label and the backing, allowing the entire label-plus-backing section to tear away from the roll as a single piece.

Choose perforated labels when you need clean tear-off separation at the printer or manual tear points. Choose slit-cut when you need continuous backing for automated applicator machines or when labels are peeled individually from the roll during application. If unsure, perforated is the safer default for most manual and desktop printer workflows.
