Custom Printed Labels Made to Your Specification

Stock labels cover most jobs. Some jobs need a label that does not exist yet. That is what our custom print service is for. Send us the size, the material and the artwork, and we will produce a run built for your product, your printer and your application line.

We print for food manufacturers, butchers, bakeries, pharmacies, beverage producers, warehouses, logistics operators and retailers across Australia.

What We Can Print

Any size. From 20x10mm asset tags through to 150x210mm carton labels. If you need a size we do not stock, we can die-cut it.

Any shape. Rectangle, square, rounded corner, circle, oval or a custom die. Round labels suit jar lids and seals. Ovals suit bottle fronts.

Full colour or spot colour. Full colour for retail-facing brand labels. One or two spot colours for functional labels where you need a strong flat colour at a lower cost.

Pre-printed with a variable area. This is the most common custom job we run. We print your logo, headings and fixed text. You print the variable data on your own thermal printer. It gives you a branded label at a fraction of the cost of full custom printing every roll.

Materials and Adhesives

Your material choice depends on where the label will live.

Paper face stock is the standard for retail, food and general use. It takes print cleanly and costs the least.

Synthetic face stock handles moisture, oil, cold and abrasion. Use it for chilled products, freezer stock, chemical drums and outdoor applications.

Permanent adhesive bonds hard and stays put. Use it for anything that ships or sells.

Removable adhesive peels off without residue. Use it for promotions, pricing, temporary asset tags and any label that comes off before the product is used.

Freezer grade adhesive bonds at low temperature. Standard adhesive fails on a frozen surface, so specify freezer grade if you are labelling in a cool room or blast freezer.

How to Get a Quote

Send us five things and we can quote quickly.

  1. Label size in millimetres, width by height.
  2. Quantity, either total labels or labels per roll plus number of rolls.
  3. Core size for roll labels, usually 25mm, 40mm or 76mm.
  4. Where the label goes and what it goes on.
  5. Your artwork, or a description if you need us to set it up.

We will confirm material, adhesive, print method, unit cost and lead time.

Artwork Requirements

Supply artwork as a print-ready PDF, AI or EPS file. Set it up at the finished label size plus 3mm bleed on every edge. Keep text and barcodes at least 3mm inside the trim line. Convert fonts to outlines. Supply images at 300dpi or higher.

Barcodes need care. Keep the quiet zone clear on both sides. Do not scale a barcode below 80 percent of nominal size. Do not print a barcode on a coloured background unless the contrast is tested. We will check your barcode before we print, but a scannable barcode starts with a correctly built file.

When Custom Beats Stock

Custom printing pays for itself when your volume is steady and your requirement is specific. A butcher running 20,000 labels a month with their own logo will land at a lower total cost than buying generic stock and applying a second branded sticker.

Custom also wins when compliance drives the label. Dangerous goods, allergen declarations and regulated product markings often need exact wording, exact colours and exact dimensions. A stock label will not always meet the standard.

For lower volumes or general use, our stock range is faster and cheaper. Browse [Labels & Ribbons](/collections/labels) first and contact us if nothing fits.
